The IS GALLAND 211625: THE reference, THE flagship product.
This year, our company is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 211625 section insulator, the first IS used on French high-speed networks!
The patent for the IS 211625 (reference GALLAND JG1352) was filed with the INPI on April 27, 1981. To test it before approving it, the SNCF used it for a year in all possible climatic conditions and by running trains through it at 270 km/h, a first at the time! Reliable, robust and above all lightweight, this section insulator is still the one found mainly on the French high-speed network. 2,300 devices were installed on the French network between 1985 and 1993 following this approval, and many more since. It has been adopted by Luxembourg and Portugal and also equips the tunnel under the Manche.
This year, GALLAND continues to develop this symbol of the French rail network, which you will be able to find at the Innotrans trade fair in September 2022, in Berlin.
