In May, we had the pleasure of welcoming John Mamdouh, Principal Sales Engineer for Railway at EAST, to our facilities in La Lande-de-Fronsac, France.
This visit followed the partnership initiated earlier this year between EAST and Galland SAS, with the aim of strengthening Galland's presence in the Egyptian market.
It provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our manufacturing facilities, industrial expertise, and engineering capabilities in the design and production of catenary equipment.
This first step was followed by a visit from’Axel Debias and Matthias Bec in Cairo, where they had the opportunity to discover EAST's production facilities and meet its teams.
Discussions with EAST's CEO, Engineer Kamal Abdel Malek, were particularly productive. They highlighted our shared vision, common ambition, and mutual commitment to building multidimensional synergies that will support the long-term development of Egypt's railway sector.

Those discussions also confirmed EAST's ability to become a strong local industrial partner, particularly through the development of local pre-assembly capabilities to support national railway projects.
This approach, based on the local content This is fully in line with Egypt's industrial strategy and constitutes an essential pillar for the success of our future collaboration.
This visit was also an opportunity for the Galland team to meet the key players in the Egyptian railway ecosystem.
