Galland-FerroCampus-Lycée Palissy: the future of railways on the rails

In addition to maintaining a partnership with The FerroCampus regional cluster in Saintes, Galland, has joined forces with the Bernard Palissy high school in the same city. Objective:
support students enrolled in the railway professions training course through interventions in situ and the loan of Galland equipment. A bet on the future!

Jean-François Vidal, Deputy Director of Professional and Technological Training at Bernard Palissy High School, remembers his first meeting with Galland:
"It was August 31, 2021. Since then, many projects have emerged between the company and the high school. Our students in the professional maintenance baccalaureate, BTS industrial product design and BTS electrical engineering programs learn and work on the Galland tensioning devices. The AERO equipped with monitoring is an excellent analysis support for our young graduates in digital and computer science. Students and teachers were also received within the Galland company, which has always been available, open and efficient. It is a structure on a human scale and it shows!

FerroCampus'Days

On November 8 and 9, Galland was among the guests at the FerroCampus'Days organized by the high school, along with other railway companies such as Thales and Alstom.
On the first day, industry players presented the sector's professions and training to schoolchildren and job seekers. On the second day, professionals gathered around several themes related to digitalization, shared data, rolling stock and infrastructure and signaling.

“The feedback from schoolchildren and the invited public was excellent” notes Jean-François Vidal. " Galland, in particular, presented its equipment and its professions to students and teachers. They were accompanied by their Preditic service provider who works on monitoring and data collection. Their joint stand was placed in the center of our workshop!”

The jobs of tomorrow

At Galland, we are proud to train future construction site operators. There is no shortage of projects in this field: new, more detailed services in the suburbs and regions, better coverage of the territory, development of RERs, etc. Rail is the future!
