With only twenty workers, the Galland company was still modest, but all the profits made were reinvested in the growth of the company. Its development followed the electrification of the lines and the advent of high speed!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><u>1975: the IS 211 625, the first high-speed section insulator<\/u><\/p>\n<p>No more heavy and bulky section insulators (IS)! High speed requires strong, light, compact and reliable equipment. Galland outperforms porcelain insulators thanks to its IS 211 625: a new fiberglass insulator, precursor of the IS in composite materials, which have become the current standard.<\/p>\n<p><u>1976: the TGV on the rails<\/u><\/p>\n<p>High-speed rail is sweeping over the France, popularized by the acronym TGV (for &quot;high-speed train&quot;). That year, the State granted SNCF a new line between Paris and Lyon and ordered 87 TGV trains from the Alsthom company (now Alstom).<\/p>\n<p><u>900\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p>This is the number of kilometers of tracks electrified in France each year in the years 60 \u2013 75.
