Last May Galland participated in the Carbon Fighter forum organized by Colas Rail. The Carbon forum is sensitive to the problem and has the desire to support customers in their environmental efforts.<\/p>\n

This forum provided an opportunity to take stock of the levers that can be used by SMEs to support them in their decarbonization strategy. The pooling of support by consulting providers, the sharing of best practices, communication around available state funding and the participation of contracting authorities in the financing of innovation projects are favored in the current economic context.<\/p>\n

Galland continues to mobilize its teams for the deployment of the decarbonization strategy through employee awareness raising and communication with suppliers, which are the first steps in the process. Reducing the carbon footprint will involve changing the governance and product design model.<\/p>\n

Since 2016, French companies with more than 500 employees have been legally required to produce a GHG assessment. They measure and publish the greenhouse gas emissions related to their activities. Several calculation scopes are determined (direct emissions, indirect emissions and emissions from purchased products). Scope 3 has a broad scope, ranging from products purchased by the company to their use by the end customer, including transport and waste management. In view of the very significant share of indirect emissions, the regulations are changing and now require the calculation of \u201csignificant emission sources\u201d, whether direct or indirect.<\/p>\n
