To meet electrical standards and ensure safety, our equipment must comply with geometric constraints, as our customers in the tramway networks have informed us of. A customer requirement, a subject for Galland: to develop its adjustable crosshead!
On tramway networks, to ensure the misalignment of the contact wire, the return arm with adjustable hook is evolving. Its new geometry facilitates compliance with the electrical insulation distance required by the standard, so its installation under engineering structures becomes more widely compatible. Its second advantage is to increase the fluidity of the pantograph passage under a section insulator. Indeed, the return arm with adjustable hook associated with a section insulator, allows fine adjustment of the angle of the contact wire to obtain a pantograph passage without shock.
More innovative and more sophisticated than its ancestor, the “new” adjustable cross, developed by Galland, now equips the Rouen tramway.
